In 2022, we lost a dear friend and SWE Executive Board member, Preeti Menon, to a heroic battle with cancer. Preeti was a devoted volunteer for many causes including SWE, STEM outreach, and many local Pet Rescues. She was a passionate SWE member and was vital in organizing STEM outreach events for local students. In honor of Preeti, the SCE SWE chapter will be renaming our annual SWE Scholarship.

We will be accepting applications next spring for the Preeti Menon SWE Scholarship. This scholarship will be for High School Seniors who identify as a woman, are intending to enroll at an ABET accredited university for the upcoming school year, and will be majoring in an engineering, computing, or engineering technology program.
