Girls’ Engineer It Day (GEID) is back for 2026, and we need your help to make this event an incredible success! GEID inspires students from elementary through high school to explore STEM careers through hands-on activities, an engaging expo, and interactive sessions. This event thrives because of passionate volunteers like you. We have a variety of roles available—whether you love organizing, teaching, or simply lending a helping hand, there’s a place for you on our team. Details for each role can be found in the GEID 2026 Role Description document.
Leadership & Coordination Roles
- GEID Leads: Oversee the entire event, manage volunteers, and ensure smooth operations.
- Volunteer Lead: Recruit and organize day-of volunteers and coordinate assignments.
- Registration Lead: Manage participant registration and streamline data tracking.
- Budget, Funding & Sponsor Coordinator: Secure financial and in-kind support from sponsors.
Event Support Roles
- Promotion Team: Spread the word through social media, flyers, and community outreach.
- Snack & Lunch Lead: Keep students and volunteers fueled with snacks and lunch.
- Expo & Launch Lead: Organize the opening expo and kickoff activities.
- Teacher: Support STEM activity planning and classroom logistics.
- Parent Activity Coordinator: Host a college Q&A and hands-on STEM session for parents.
- Photo Team: Capture the excitement of the day—no fancy equipment needed!
